General Questions

We are able to sell THC due to our products being federally legal under the 2018 Farm Bill. Under this bill, all hemp-derived products are legal. Hemp-derived THC can be no more than 0.3% on a dry weight basis.

CBD (Cannabidiol) and THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) are both cannabinoids found in cannabis plants, but they have different effects on the body. THC is the psychoactive component that produces the “high” associated with marijuana use. It interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system in a way that alters the brain’s release of neurotransmitters, affecting mood, behavior, and perception. On the other hand, CBD is non-psychoactive and does not produce a high. Instead, it’s known for its potential therapeutic benefits, including reducing anxiety, relieving pain, and improving sleep. CBD can interact with the endocannabinoid system differently, often influencing the body to use its own endocannabinoids more effectively.

Delta 8-THC (Delta-8-tetrahydrocannabinol) is a cannabinoid found in the cannabis plant, but in much lower concentrations than Delta 9-THC, the most well-known form of THC. Delta 8 is chemically different from Delta 9-THC by the placement of a double bond on the eighth carbon chain, whereas Delta 9-THC has this bond on the ninth carbon chain. This slight difference in chemical structure means that Delta 8-THC has a lower psychoactive potency than Delta 9-THC. Users often report that Delta 8 provides a clearer, more focused high without the anxiety and paranoia sometimes associated with Delta 9-THC. Additionally, Delta 8-THC is noted for its potential analgesic and neuroprotective properties.

Hemp is characterized by its THC content (less than 0.3% Delta 9 THC  by dry weight) . All of our edible, smokeable , topicals, and drinkables abide to these guidelines. To make sure of this, all of our products are lab tested. Click here to view them.

No, CBD does not get you high. Unlike THC, which is the psychoactive compound in cannabis that produces a high, CBD is non-psychoactive. It does not affect the brain in a way that results in euphoria, altered sensory perception, or impaired motor skills. Instead, CBD is valued for its potential therapeutic benefits, including reducing anxiety, managing pain, and improving sleep disorders. Many people choose to use CBD products for the potential wellness benefits without experiencing the psychoactive effects associated with THC.

Yes, both CBD and THC can interfere with other medications. These cannabinoids can affect how the body metabolizes certain drugs, potentially leading to altered levels of these medications in your system. This can enhance or weaken the effects of the medications, sometimes leading to unwanted side effects or decreased effectiveness. For instance, CBD is known to inhibit the activity of some cytochrome P450 enzymes, which are involved in the metabolism of many pharmaceuticals. It’s important to consult with a healthcare professional before using CBD or THC, especially if you are taking other medications, to avoid potential drug interactions.

Traveling with our products can be a tricky subject. We highly recommend checking the local jurisdiction as legality differs from state to state.

Marijuana dispensaries can carry products with more than 0.3% THC by dry weight, meaning they can stock Delta 9 THC smokeable products with high concentrations of THC. However, their edible products are limited to 10mg per serving and 100mg per package. Here at Nurse Wellness, we offer Delta 9 THC products ranging from 5mg to 420mg. We recommend limiting usage to the suggested serving size when using our products.
